So I’ve been a fan of artist David Choe after watching a Vice TV series of him and his cousin hitchhiking across America. He acts and thinks like so many Korean men I know its scary. And then David Chang, the chef and owner of the Momofuku empire appeared on my radar and I thought “dayum these two could be twins.”
Then I went on David Choe’s blog and found that its true! Look at this pic. It took a good few seconds for me to figure out who was who. Mind. Blown.
By the way, I’ve been to one of David Chang’s restaurant and his ramen sucked. Maybe the place was having a bad day but the noodles were mealy and the soup was greasy. But that would all be okay if it tasted good but it didn’t taste good. WTF why am I paying like $16 for crappy ramen when I can make it better for $1.50? But his pork buns are definitely delicious as advertised by every food blog I’ve read. I wonder why he doesn’t do a Korean version of his ramen and make some spicy ass-shaking ramyun. I’ll totally help you make it Mr. Chang. I mean I even know how to make the fastest ramyun this side of the internet.
